Each of the 121 tissue-guarded plates depicting the paintings at auction is accompanied by a descriptive leaf. The text is printed on velin paper, and the plates are reproduced in stunning heliogravure. Heavy rubbing to spines and along edges. Text in French. He served as secretary to the Jewish Cultural Reconstruction and president of the Jewish Librarians Association, (predecessor of the current Association of Jewish Libraries).
