Katowice: Polskie Towarzystwo Fotograficzne, Oddział w Katowicach, 1950. First edition. Softcover. Octavo. 15pp. (1). Tan wrappers with brown lettering on the front cover. The publication is a catalog for the first in a series of nationwide photography exhibitions held by the Polish Photographic Society. This exhibition took place at from October 28th - November 10th, 1950 in Katowice, and featured a total of 132 works, from 66 different photographers. Accompanying the list of works is are two pages of text from Franciszek Stobik, the then current president of the Katowice branch of the society, as well as pages listing various contributing members of the society. Printed on mottled vellum paper.

Wrappers with light smudging, creases and a few stains. Markings in red colored pencil on the front cover. Interior with some minor smudges, and a stain on p. 7. Wrappers in good+, interior in very good condition overall. Wrappers protected by modern mylar. Quite scarce. Franciszek Stobik (1917- 1975) was a Polish art photographer, a founding member of the Katowice branch of the Polish Photographic Society, and member of the Union of Polish Art Photographers. He was known for his photographs of the mining industry.
