Covers are teal paper with white and black lettering and designs; some edge chipping, creasing at joints, chipping at the head of the spine and crasing to same. All attached. Bound by Emile Rousselle in full brown crushed morocco, a.e.g., the spine with gilt titles, doublures of blue crushed morocco with wide gilt tooled dentelle border and oval corner medallions inlaid in brown morocco, marbled flyleaves. Front flyleaf cracked at inner joint, fingerprint size darker spot on upper cover, else fine. The rare, illustrated octavo edition. An elegant book with the leater bookplate of Cortland Bishop. Cortland Bishop was an early 20th century aviator and book collector. Fived raised bands on spine. Text in French. Pages: 399 Dimensions: 5¼ x 7¾ x 1.

London: J. Starkey; and Ric. Chiswell, at the Rose and Crown in St. Paul's Church-Yeard, 1689. 1st Edition. Fine. Full Title: "A Sermon Preached at the Coronation of William III. And Mary II. King and Queen of England, - - - - France, and Ireland, Defenders of the Faith; in the Abby-Church of Westminster, April 11, 1689." Rebound in modern blue cloth over boards with "Sermon" and "Bishop of Salisbury" gilded on he front. Binding is in As New condition. New pastedowns and endpapers. All original text present and accounted for. Pages are clean and clear with only minor spotting despite age. As was common with printed sermons, the printing and trimming of the pages is sometimes close to text, but no actual impacts or issues. Final page includes a list of additional publications by the two printers. This is an exceptional primary document from the Glorious Revolution which saw the only double crowning of two monarchs. Girolamo da Corlione present but detached and trimmed. Old stamp to title page, with some rounding and loss of paper, all text legible. Lausanne: Marc Chapuis & Compagnie, 1774. 4th. Very Good. Contemporary mottled calf with splitting joints but holding. Speckled edges with worn title on spine with equally worn gilding. Pages are crisp and clean with almost no toning. Written as a scientific text prior to the routine adoption of the scientific method, this was an influential work by Tissot on the risks and issues with masturbation which influenced contemporary and later authors and led to the concept that masturbation was itself bad for the health.  Pages: 232  Dimensions: 4 x 6¾ x ¾ .

Notes from a former seller: "First issue of the first periodical devoted to marijuana. Co-edited by countercultural icon Ed Sanders and future cannabis historian Michael Aldrich, the magazine developed out of LeMar International (LeMar for "legalize marijuana"), one of the first advocacy groups for the drug internationally. Lady Moonshine comes to live with her Godmother and brings a bit of chaos, naughtiness, and fairy energy to quiet Candle Street. In original, unclipped ($1.75), jacket in protective sheet.
