First edition thus from the Franklin Library and part of The 100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature, limited edition. Burgundy leather covers with gilded designs to front, spine, and back covers. Gilt fore edges, some rubbing to bottom. Red silk moiré endpapers and satin bookmark. Very tight spine, unread condition.
Synopsis
The story of Lincoln's life from his inauguration in 1861 to his death and funeral in 1865. Awarded the Pulitzer Prize in History, 1940.
