Half bound in brown calf leather over marbled boards. All edges sprayed blue. Tall 8vo. A large and heavy volume which will incur an additional charge for overseas delivery. Boards worn, heavily rubbed at edges, corners, joints and spine ends, rounded on corners, scuffed and marked with some marbled paper scarred away. Endpapers spotted, small doodle on front paste down, hinges obviously but effectively reinforced. The Fifth Edition with additions. 3/4 leather, five raised bands over marbled boards which are considerably rubbed. Pull out map of London at the time of Elzabeth (2 closed tears); pull out illustration of a part of London during the Great Fire of 1666. Thirteen illustrations in the text.
