These wonderful poems are written by Stanley Jack Marcus Goulston who was born in Sydney in July 1915. He graduated with honours in Medicine in 1939 and was a resident at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He served in the 2nd World War as a Regimental Medical Officer to the 2/1st Australian Pioneers and went to the Middle East in the 6th Division. He was involved in the eight-month siege of Tobruk. Many of the poems in this book are about his family, and he is a treasured member of his large family. At the end of the book he has written a poem about turning 90, which is amazing and that he is still writing is very special and unique. (Both hardback and paperback editions have the same ISBN.).
