About This Item

Burbank, CA: Warner Brothers, 1980. Vintage borderless reference photograph of director Stanley Kubrick with actors Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall between takes on the set of the 1980 film. Manuscript ink annotations on the verso regarding cropping.

Based on the 1977 novel by Stephen King. The last truly great horror film of the twentieth century, a high spot for Kubrick, Duvall, and Nicholson, about a writer with a bad case of writer's block who takes his family to an isolated hotel for the winter, unaware of an evil presence that lurks within its walls.

8 x 10 inches. Just about Fine.

Ebert III. McPadden, Heavy Metal Movies. Rosenbaum 1000. Scorsese, The Dark Eleven.
