Description:
(Buttermarket, Ipswich): Emanuel for Pendragon Press, 1968. First Edition. Fine. 8vo, 21pp; natural linen with green cloth spine; issued without dust jacket. One of 2000 numbered copies in the entire edition, this is from the second thousand, designated for sale in the United States. Although uncalled for, this copy has been signed by Pinter across the title page. Further, on the facing bank there is a presentation inscription dated in 1968 from two theatrical producers, Richard Lee Marks and henry Jaffe, giving the book to the lighting and costume designer Neil Jampolis. The text is Pinter's recollection of the Irish actor and theatrical producer Anew McMaster.
