This book contains color photographs depicting scenes from Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport. "For this project [Engstrom] spent three weeks isolated in an airport hotel, photographing in and between the terminals. The airport became a place to observe identities and the history of relations." ; Color Photographs; Oblong 4to 11" - 13" tall .

Very Good. Collection of 28 cabinet card portraits dating to the 1880s-90s, housed in an ornate velvet album and stand. All the portraits depict men, likely from the Deadwood/Lead, South Dakota area. Album measures 9" x 11", has deep purple velvet boards, decorative metal clasp and embellishments, and gilt edges; leaves are heavy cardstock. Album is affixed on a matching stand about 6" tall and was patented in 1882. A few of the portraits have manuscript notations identifying the person posing, either written on the album leaves or on verso of the cabinet card. Overall very good. Album covers have light wear; a handful of leaves have tears where portrait is inserted; one portrait has heavy yellowing, the rest are in fine condition. Six pages are missing photos. From the names written on the portraits and the photographers producing the portraits, it seems likely that the men depicted here were from Lead and Deadwood, South Dakota. N.D.. Territorial Arizona photograph of a frontier home with four children and six men posing in front of the home. Photograph measures 7 ½" x 4 ½" and is mounted on a buff cabinet card. Image was likely taken near Prescott, Arizona circa the 1880's and 90's. Printed on verso in black lettering is "Views in Arizona - E. M. Jennings, Photographer, Prescott, Arizona" with other locations in the Arizona Territory where he took photos. Also on verso is a purple rubber stamp for "Chas. R. Allen - View Photographer". Photograph is in good condition with light foxing to upper half of image, minor dampstaining to upper left corner, and a ¼" piece missing from the upper left corner of the cabinet card. E. M. Jennings was an active photographer in Prescott from 1870 to 1890, owning a studio and producing photo catalogues. Cabinet Card. Dark grey cabinet card (6 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches) with silver gel photo measuring 5 1/2 x 3 7/8 inches. Both photo and mount have light foxing and soiling. Verso is blank. Card edges show wear and light chipping. No place, no date or photographer noted. Still a remarkable image of a young African-American astride a horse with a backdrop of moss laden trees in winter. Rider and horse have saddle, bridle and reins. View is fairly crisp with some light silvering to photo. If only we had the back-story of this image. .

Handwritten title is on the card; "Hamaker, Prescott, Arizona" is embossed on the card; "B1" is written in the negative; no content on verso. Photo measures 7 ½" x 4 ½"; card measures 8 ½" x 5 ¼". No date but likely late 19th/early 20th century. Card has moderate soiling and light wear to edges; photo has moderate soiling. This boudoir card depicts a large soaptree yucca (not a cactus!) without flowers and surrounded by a beautiful wintery landscape. H. Hamker was a photographer out of Prescott, Arizona who often collaborated with well-known Prescott photographer Erwin Baer (Mautz p. 53). .
