Limited first edition (2000 copies total) of 24 portrait drawings by Rothenstein of his prominent friends and contemporaries, including Joseph Conrad, Andre Gide, Thomas Hardy, T.E. Lawrence, George Bernard Shaw and H.G Wells. 10" x 6.75". Rothenstein describes the book as "an act of homage to those who give rather than take" and includes biographical sketches written by friends with each portrait. Very good+ condition.
