Dust jacket itself only Fair condition with edgewear, chips, and taping, but is in a clean archival mylar protector and pleasant overall to handle. Mysterious Fires and Lights, their weird manifestations, the evidence for their occurrence, and the latest theories to explain them. 280 pp.

INSCRIBED by Jane, February 1961. Poems from when the author was two to six years old. With drawn and hand colored illustrations by Alice Wilkins Neilson. Blue-grey cloth with gilt titling to spine. Sharp and clean with slight fading and a couple marks from pen to boards. Unpaginated.

The corners of the boards are more or less worn through, exposing some cardboard at the corners. There are a few other little dings, but not too bad overall. A sturdy if edgeworn copy with clean pages and solid binding. 192 pp.

D. Appleton and Company, 1880. Hardcover. Good. 670 pp. plus advertisements. Brown boards moderately worn at edges, just worn through at corners, small cosmetic tears at head of spine but not bad overall. Gold titling on spine is clear. Binding is solid and boards strongly attached, with front hinge just barely starting. Pages age-toned, foxed on page edges, some foxing to first and last few pages. Former owners' names to endpapers. A solid enough copy though age-worn.

This copy was purchased for distribution by the American Eugenics Party, and stamped on the endpaper by Sons of Liberty, an anti-Semitic (etc) publisher.

Some neat discoloration to edges of covers and first few pages from a smaller book being laid over part of the cover for years, so the paper became toned at different rates. Otherwise a nice copy. Index, 183 pp.
