All original publications copyright 1998 printed 1998-2002. Titled and Griffin Crest Illustrated front covers, one each in; red, orange, blue and green card stock with cloth edge binding. Books are 92-98 pp long, with many illustrations; drawings, maps, photos, etc...

1900 Clupped from an original 10-volume set of which the spines had deteriorated to falling apart. Rochester, New York: The Author, 1855 VG with mild to mod. wear, contents are clean and NF, end papers, first & last few pages are mildly foxed. A good look at those countries from a first-hand perspective, quite violent at times and NOT at all like other travel books of the same era. Interesting and quite scarce.

John Lane, The Bodley Head, London, 1900 From a rural NH library, loaned out just once in the past 115 years. Given to the library in 1902, book #2010, yes a very rural library! Nice condition, map is pristine. TEG, others untrimmed, 212 pps + 1 page ad in rear. pps 115-126 torn from upper spine downward into text, repairable.

Publishers Union First Edition, First Printing dated 1896 on the title page. 617 illustrated pages nicely bound in full deep Maroon cloth with Silver titles, banded spine and embossed decorative covers. Marbled page edges with decorative patterned ep's. Near Fine conditon with just a few splits to the TOS (top of the spine.) front hinge a tad loose.
