A single issue of this magazine devoted to topics relating to religion and American Baptists. Included is a first person account of travels in Burma (Myanmar) by Oliver Cutter, recalling his journey upriver by boat from Rangoon, and his encounters with villages and people, usually noting his efforts at dispensing religious literature. Cutter, along with Nathan Brown, established a printing press in Assam in 1836. FAIR/GOOD condition. Moderate to heavy insect wear along the wrapper extremities, with loss along all edges and especially the spine, making the wrappers somewhat tenuously attached. Minor soiling and staining.
