Limited to 400 copies. The printing has been done from the electrotypes of 1887 and in the original format, with a new cover carrying a medallion of the author. About fine.

Limited to 1000 numbered copies. A very good copy with some slight damp stain to tip of end paper. Black & white photographs. The former owner has pencil annotations below some photos. One note is "Cherokee Indian in Sioux Headdress". Another identifies the name of a portrait picture Lacking the glassine dust jacket and slip case. Scarce.

About a fine copy, issued without dust jacket. Small former owner's name stamped on front free endpaper. Barton was a friend of Jefferson and a noted naturalist with an interest in Native Americans.
