Hardcover, denim blue cloth boards with gilt text on spine. Exterior shows scuffing and soiling, spine is mildly tanned. Edges and corner show bumps/wear. The exterior binding of the text portion of the pages is good but there are thin cracks at both the front and rear boards. No signatures or bookplates found, no handwriting, no library markings. Pages are toned due to age and there is some spotting and foxing present with the worst being the end pages and pastedowns where the foxing is heavy. No publication date listed, estimated publication date to be around 1900.

Upper text block edge gilt. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book. Ex libris plate to front pastedown. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper. pp263-266 loose. Text block heavily foxed and its edges are uneven. Many dog-eared corners. Boards have some edge wear, with moderate bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are slightly crushed and frayed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. A few liquid droplet marks. Book has a pronounced forward lean. Spine is slightly sunned.

Boards have heavy shelf-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Light tanning to spine and edges. Wear marks overall.
