F & E Stoneham, 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No edition stated. 500 pages. No dust jacket. Quarter bound green cloth with red cloth spine and gilt titles to front and spine. Illustrated by "Phiz". Upper text block edge gilt. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book. Ex libris plate to front pastedown. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper. pp263-266 loose. Text block heavily foxed and its edges are uneven. Many dog-eared corners. Boards have some edge wear, with moderate bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are slightly crushed and frayed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. A few liquid droplet marks. Book has a pronounced forward lean. Spine is slightly sunned.
