Tight and attractive first edition (limited to 2000 copies printed on handmade rag paper) of this biography of the popular American stage and concert singer (1845-1931). Inner flyleaf bears a handsome presentation inscription and signature from Ina Love Thursby, the book's dedicatee: "For Gertrude Gale / Hoping she will cherish as / I do, these wonderful memories / of dear sister Emma -- / Ina Love Thursby / Feb. 21st 1941.
