This book is very good for beginners, you can learn much from it. If you are new to java and new into programming, this books is very good to take a start, covering all major concepts of java. After reading and practicing this book your skill level turn from beginners to intermediate. Lots of pages and heavy in weight but very good one to learn java.

Beginning with comparison between procedural and object oriented programming moves further covering all key aspects of object oriented programming and c++. Clear all concepts and build a solid base to think and develop anything you like in c++ in object oriented manners. Even if don't have any previous programming experience you can take start from this book, because its starts with simple code to full-fledged oriented application.
