Hollywood: Mirisch, 1961. Draft script for the 1962 film. Copy belonging to an unknown crew member, with their annotations in manuscript pencil on virtually every page, noting changes to dialogue and scene breaks.

Based on the 1958 Broadway play, about a troubled lawyer from Nebraska who moves to New York and falls in love with a free-spirited Greenwich Village dancer.

Set and shot on location in New York.

Yellow titled wrappers, rubber-stamped copy No. 118 on the front wrapper. Title page present, dated December 13, 1961, with credits for playwright William Gibson and screenwriter Isobel Lennart. 141 leaves, with last page of text numbered 140. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 1/9/62 and 1/11/62. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads. Housed in a custom red cloth slipcase.
