About This Item

Cleveland, OH World Publishing, 1960. Hardcover First Edition USA (1960), probably a later printing, though no explicit statement to that effect. Near Fine in Very Good- DJ: The Books shows a hint of shelf-soiling to the lower extremities; the text pages have tanned ever so slightly, due to aging; else flawless; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text.. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing minor, unobtrusive cosmetic imperfections. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. Close to 'As New'. The DJ shows mild rubbing to the panels; a couple of short tears at the top edge of the rear panel an scant loss to rubbing and chipping at the head of the backstrip; the price is intact. Not unattractive, but shows some wear. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (8 5 x 5.5 x 0.85 inches). 191 pages. ILanguage: English. Weight: 15 ounces. Yellow cloth over boards with a red embossed representation of O'Connor's signature at the front panel and red and black titles at the backstrip. Deckle fore-edge. First Edition USA (1960), probably a later printing, though no explicit statement to that effect. Published under a different title and with other differences in 1948 in Great Britain. Hardback with DJ.
