New York: Munn and Co, 1881. Tabloid. Good. Illustrated wraps. Tabloid format. Pagination runs 63-78. Black and white illustrations throughout. Single issue of this long running journal devoted to science. This issue with a look at an improved mountain railway system that uses a hydraulic elevator to lift rail cars from one station to the next on a mountain; an article on the dangers of electricity in wires; a look at two inventions improving on dynamo telegraphy, etc. GOOD condition. Large dampstain along the left side affecting all pages throughout. Horizontal fold crease present. Offsetting along the sides of the magazine. Minor soiling. Owner's signatures on the upper front cover.
