About This Item
Toronto: University of Toronto Press [the reprinting institution], 1971. Hardcover. Set complete in as-new condition. A labor of love showing very careful insertion of folded maps in amongst the texts of first two books. Red-orange buckram gilt, top edges also gilded. The mapcase was a lot of work, being a slipcase within a slipcase, the inner one provided with an onlaid title/contents label. Contents include two very large folded period maps, one modern map, and drawings in facsimile. The set handles as if never browsed before (hinges faintly stiff, &c) although we see a shallow bump to top corner of mapcase. Else perfectly sound, clean, and unmarked. The Champlain Society.
