About This Item

San Francisco: Drapiewski and Shapiro, 1977. First Edition. First Edition. Published in conjunction with the exhibition "The Patricia C. Hearst Exhibition: A Museum by [San Francisco lawyer] Daniel Drapiewski and [poet] Myra Shapiro," held at the Southern Exposure Gallery in San Francisco in February, 1977.

OCLC locates one holding at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). Scarce.

Intended as an ironic exhibition catalog, the coloring book guides the reader through a narrative of Hearst's birth and childhood through to her kidnapping by-and subsequent arrest as a member of-the Symbionese Liberation Army.

Southern Exposure was founded in 1974 as the American Can Collective Gallery, and remains in operation today as an "artists' collective, committed to exposing the work of emerging artists in addition to offering an alternative to the commercial gallery scene."

Very Good plus in perfect bound illustrated card wrappers. Light soiling and foxing to the wrappers, with light toning to the extremities and a small spot of dampstain at the upper right edge to several pages.
