Signed. Near fine / near fine. 3 volumes in slipcase. History of Texas and the Trans Pecos. Volume 1; BC to 1821. Volume 2; 1821 to 1848. Volume 3; 1948 to 1861. Meticulously detailed and well researched history covers American Indian inhabitants of the desert Southwest, the Cabeza de Vaca expeditions and up to the Civil War. The book is in near fine, nearly unread condition. The dust jacket has very minor shelf wear and the slightest amount of sun fading on the spine. The green slipcase is in near fine condition. Laid in is the newspaper obituary for the author in the Fort Stockton Pioneer, from 1983. The author has signed, above the title on the half title page on each of the three volumes (no Inscription).
