William Dewsbury was a 17th-century English Quaker who wrote numerous essays and books on the Gospel. His bibliography was extensive but one of his most important was his 'Faithful Testimony'. This 1689 first edition is a collection of Dewsbury's works from throughout his ministry including his 'True Prophecy of the Day of the Lord' – a treatise explaining the return of Christ.
