Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild tanning to spine and edges. Brown staining to edges of boards and along spine. This later printing followed the 1904 Arthur Rackham illustrated edition. Measures 4 3/4" x 6 7/8". Brick red ruled boards w/blindstamped borders, black stamped spine titles, moderate shelf wear, rub, discoloration. Front cover features blindstamped circular cameo of boy's diligent profile surrounded ruled borders. Frontispiece painting features boy shaking captain's hand: "He arrived in a much less exhausted condition than this friend". Leaves generally good, varying toning.
