Boston: American Humane Education Society. Wraps. Good. no date, circa 1885 (according to OCLC records). Illustrated pale orange wraps. 56 pp. Black and white illustrations throughout. A guide to the proper care of horse book, but also including poetry and anecdotes. The first tip in the book discusses how to kill a horse humanely, and then proceeds to provide horse care taken from other sources. FAIR/GOOD condition. Small white price sticker on the lower front cover. Uneven fading, minor to moderate soiling and a few areas of staining to the covers. Some creasing. A few pencil doodles to the first few pages. Ad CUT OUT on leaf 53/54.
