Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains.

Label residue on title page. Slight tears in pages 50 to 110 approximately. The author discusses Ceylon's capital, Colombo, as well as geography, sports, etc. but his main theme is the professional skill involved in growing tea in the incomparable beauty of the island's south.

Cassell 4th edition 1905, red cloth with tea leaves illustration in gilt, bevelled edges, fading to spine and board edges, wear/rubbing to spine ends and corners with slight fraying, gilt edges are dulled, no inscription but impress mark on ffep, both hinges sound and binding tight, internally generally good.
