About This Item

London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1961. First edition. Cloth. Fine/Very Good Indeed. 7.5" by 5.5". None. The first edition of this thrilling mystery novel by Patricia Wentworth, in the original dust wrapper. The first edition. In the original publisher's cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. This mystery work was written by Patricia Wentworth (Dora Amy Turnbull), a British crime fiction writer. This work follows a girl who wakes up in a cellar next to the body of a murdered girl but has no memories of what happened or who she is. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally excellent with only the slightest edge wear and light spotting to the endpapers. The dust wrapper is smart with marks to the rear, edge wear, chipping to the head and tail of the spine and slight creasing to the head. Offsetting and light spotting to the verso. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages with only very light spotting to the front. Fine
