A detailed guide to the diagnosis and treatment of various injuries and afflictions of the human body, mainly those that may require surgical intervention for treatment. With some mention of the method of antiseptic treatment developed by Lister. Written by Theodor Billroth, an Austrian surgeon regarded as a founder of modern abdominal surgery. GOOD condition. Uneven fading, minor scatteed white (paint?) specks to the spine and a small area of discoloration to the lower front cover. Minor fraying along the hinges and extremities. Owner's signature present. Some toning to the text block.
