About This Item
London: Methuen and Co, 1903. First edition. Cloth. Very Good. 8" by 5". None. A collection of poetry by Rudyard Kipling. First edition, first impression with 'David' for 'Saul' to page 56. Publisher's catalogue to the rear is dated July 1903, as called for. This collection of poems is on the 'Five Nations'. It has been suggested that these nations are Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the British Isles. Rudyard Kipling was an English journalist, short story writer, poet and novelist. He is best known for The Jungle Book, Kim and his short stories. In full publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Patches of rubbing to the head and tail of spine resulting in a small loss to cloth. Spine has faded. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown, Woods and Co. Offsetting to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Some spots to foredge, otherwise just the odd light spot to pages. Very Good
