The Viking Press, 1944. Third Printing. hardcover. Very Good/Acceptable. 20x20x20. Science fiction author Alfred Bester's copy of this classic has his pen name on the front endpaper. The dust jacket is in three pieces, most of the spine is missing, very chipped, tanned and fragile. The blue buckram boards are darkened on edges, rubbed a little at the corners, spine sunned and rubbed lightly head/tail. Third printing October 1944. All orders packed with care, dust jackets protected by Brodart sleeve, independent bookseller since 2011

Synopsis

Finnegans Wake is a work of comic fiction by Irish author James Joyce, significant for an experimental style and its resulting reputation as one of the most difficult works of fiction in the English language. Written in Paris over a period of 17 years, and published in 1939, two years before the author's death, Finnegans Wake was Joyce's final work. -
