N.p.: Pan Arts, 1965. Final Draft script for the 1966 film. Script printed on pale green paper. Laid in are two single-page scenes, dated 9/27/65, a carbon typescript Cast List, dated Sept. 20, 1965, and a ribbon copy typescript "Casting * Page Numbers," listing supporting characters and the page numbers in which they have scenes. Five pages with old paperclips, and one grouping of five pages with an old paperclip, with some light rust staining on those and adjacent pages.

Based on the 1964 novel by screenwriter Elliott Baker. Sean Connery, in between two of his classic James Bond films, "Thunderball" (1965) and "You Only Live Twice" (1967), stars as the frustrated, belligerent, womanizing poet, Samson Shillitoe. Unable to finish his tome or pay his alimony to his first wife, Shillitoe is convinced by his stalwart wife Rhonda, played by Joanne Woodward, to see a psychiatrist who claims he can cure writer's block.

Set in and shot on location in New York City.

Goldenrod titled wrappers, noted as FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 123, dated August 27, 1965. Distribution page present, with receipt intact. Title page present, dated 8/27/65, noted as, with credits for author and screenwriter Elliott Baker. 145 leaves, with last page of text numbered 136. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 8/27/65 and 9/1/65. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound internally with two gold brads.

Two laid in single-page scenes, 8.5 x 11 inches, Mimeograph duplication. Very Good plus, with some light toning and closed tears along the right edge.
