About This Item
Fetch It Sir, Hamilton Hamilton, Original photogravure, Photogravure Goupil et Cie.D. Appleton & Co., New York
Hamilton Hamilton's original etching, "Fetch It, Sir!" hails from a portfolio entitled, "Ten Original Etchings by the Best American Artists" originally published in Boston by Estes & Lauriat in 1888. It is printed upon fine hand made, laid paper and with full margins and bears the publisher's name, date and Hamilton Hamilton's name along the lower margin. This scene depicts a Victorian woman asking her Newfoundland dog to retrieve a stick from the lake. "Fetch It, Sir!" is a fine, original example of the portrait art created by the American artist, Hamilton Hamilton.
