Philadelphia: Philadelphia Medical Journal, Publisher, 1898. Wraps. Good. Printed wraps. 27 pp. A work originally given as an address, reflecting on advances in medicine from the 17th century on, discussing the role of science, observation and experimentation in the practice of medicine. John Herr Musser, according to the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, was considered one of the best diagnosticians of his day, and served on the faculty of the abovementioned school. Faint "Compliments of J.H. Musser," at the top of the front cover. GOOD condition. Slightly ex-library, with a stamp on the front cover. Heavy offsetting/darkening to the covers, with minor soiling. Several chips along the extremities of the wrappers. Minor toning to the text block.
