Antonio de Guevara [1480?-1545] - Spanish writer who grew up in the court of Ferdinand and Isabella. He later joined the Franciscan order and was appointed court preacher and imperial historiographer by Charles V of Spain. In 1527 he became bishop of Guadix and in 1537 bishop of Mondonedo.
