Alberto Tumermani, Verona, Italy, 1728. Softcover. Good Condition. This is a very special old book with a lot of charm, and is a study on the Verona Amphitheater. It has several illustrations, many of which fold out. The foldouts are in very good condition. The pages are clean and a bit wavy, and the binding is loose. I'm not totally sure whether the cover is a type of paper, cloth, or animal skin (although my bet is a type of hard paper). There are some flakes and the corners are rounded, but it is in quite good condition for its age. The title is handwritten on the spine, and part of it is worn to the point that you can't quite make out a couple of letters. Page edges are uncut. Signed and numbered by the artist, also signed with a warm inscription on the title page. Brown boards over green cloth spine. Includes portfolio in matching binding with two original serigraphs signed and numbered by the artist all enclosed in a cloth case with a color pastedown illustration. The book includes mounted color plates and chronology. The portfolio case is faded and stained. Introduction by Karen Keenlyside Mills. (Art--Canada, Artists--Canada).

London: Charles Knight & Company, 1837. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Blue-green gilt cloth covers in good condition but separating from body of text. Interior clean with very little foxing. Tears between cover and spine about one inch in at top and bottom, but no loss to spine. Early inscription on the front flyleaf. A scarce work.
