The Bodley Head, 1966. First edition, first printing. 8vo. Green boards with gilt titles. Pictorial dustwrapper. A near fine copy with clean boards, Internally complete with a hint of spotting to leading edge. The near fine dustwrapper is fresh and crisp with a couple of short closed tears. Hardly any wear to extremities. Original price of 25snet to front flap. A very attractive copy with none of the usual darkening to lettering on wrapper spine. Set in Haiti under the rule of Francois "Papa Doc" Duvalier. Duvalier went on to ban both Greene and 'The Comedians'.
