About This Item
Cambridge: Published by the Hakluyt Society at the Cambridge University Press, 1966. Hardcover. xvii, 270, xv, 273-446p., matched pair in Hakluyt's signature format: blue cloth boards gilt & blind and enclosed in their dust jackets. Top edges of both volumes are dusty and foxed, and the second was printed on paperstock not fully alkaline, giving v.2 a pervasive mild browning. Jackets are a bit edgeworn with toned spine panels; these mild signs of age are matched, along with the general design. A good to very good set: quite sound, otherwise clean, and free of deliberate markings. Second series Nos. CXXVI, CXXVII.
