About This Item
London: Jonathan Cape, 1935. The fifth novel by the great Irish writer, which he famously dedicated "To My Creditors." This is a Very Good (Plus) copy from the publisher's "Florin Books" series. First issued in May 1928, reprinted in 1928, then issued here in a smaller format. [Designate either as the Third Printing, or the First Edition Thus.] Cape's tan "oatmeal" cloth binding with titling in black on the spine and front cover. Clean text; 286 pages. In the rear is a 21-page listing of the books in the series, quoting "They are the right size for all times, and the right price for these times." Covers somewhat darkened on spine and around the margins. No dustwrapper. A nice little book.. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
