About This Item

New York: Harcourt Brace, 1928. First American edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/Good-. 1928, First American edition. 286 pp. Very Good+ copy in a Good- dust jacket. Previous owner's signature on the front pastedown; mild edgewear to the cloth; clean contents; tight binding. The DJ is missing a 2x3-inch piece from the bottom of the front panel; shallow loss at the corners and spine ends; some splitting to the hinges at the inner flaps. Still, a bold example of this haunting, uncommon jacket, designed by J. L. Carstairs. DJ now housed in a mylar wrap.
