John Wayne's directorial debut, dramatizing the 1836 Battle of the Alamo, starring Wayne as Davy Crockett. Nominated for seven Academy Awards.
Shot on location in Brackettville, Texas.
Cream titled wrappers. Title page present, undated. 159 leaves, with last page of text numbered 156. Xerographic duplication on eye-rest green stock, rectos only, with blue, pink, and yellow revision pages throughout, dated variously between 7/21/59 and 9-21-59. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, with a small splash on the front wrapper, bound internally with three gold brads. In a custom green quarter-leather clamshell box.
