Book Condition: Near Fine; scant shelfwear to tail and lower tips. No DJ but does have the original vinyl book cover in Near Fine shape with a small nick at the head. Pictorial laminate boards and spine with gilt lettering in a brown shadowbox on the spine; gilt title on the front board. 317 pp tall 8vo. Written in 1876 and set in the fictional town of St. Petersburg, the book covers the adventures of a mischievous young boy and his friends growing up in a Mississippi town at the end of the 19th Century. A clean very presentable copy.
