This first American edition meets the universally agreed upon edition points including:
· The heading for Chapter VI (6) on the first contents page (p.9) reads "Huck Decided to Leave." In later editions, this was changed to "Huck Decides to Leave."
· On page 13, the Illustrations list, "Him and another Man" is incorrectly listed at page 88.
· On page 57, eleven lines from the bottom, it reads "with the was" which was changed in later editions to "with the saw."

St. Ives: Being The Adventures of a French Prisoner in England (1897) is an unfinished novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. It was completed in 1898 by Arthur Quiller-Couch. Unable to write, Stevenson dictated thirty chapters of the novel to his stepdaughter as a diversion from his debilitating illness. He alternated dictating St. Ives and The Weir of Hermiston but gradually lost interest in the former. The plot concerns the adventures of the dashing Capitaine Jacques St. Ives, a Napoleonic soldier, after his capture by the British. Condition: Corners bumped and rubbed, shelf wear, hinges and spine heal moderately rubbed, previous owner's name on front end paper else a very good copy.
