The unread book is tight and square with solid hinges and binding, good tips, and clean unmarred boards with foil-stamped lettering. The textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, or markings and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. Black and white illustrations throughout. The slipcase has light creases to the top front edge and a faint crinkle to the top back corner. 384 pages. 7 1/2" X 9 1/2" tall.
The Odyssey is the most enduring classic of western civilization, telling the story of Ulysses and his eventful voyage home after the Trojan War. This beautiful slipcase edition features Alexander Pope's classic 1726 translation which perfectly captures the lyricism of this epic poem.
