About the author

Ion Grumeza is a Romanian-born historian and independent scholar. After completing his Masters at the University of Bucharest, he began studying in the United States and conducting historical research. The author lived in Romania until he was 29 under the Stalinist regime, which emulated many of the Nazi political tactics, until he defected to Austria and then immigrated to America. He was a guest speaker and political commentator on Radio Free Europe and Voice of America during the Communist regime of Romania. Grumeza has previously published the international bestseller Nadia: The Success Secrets of the Amazing Romanian Gymnast and has also been published in Military History Magazine, Military Life, and Axis Europa: Journal of Axis Allied Forces.
