Midnight for Charlie Bone Compact disc - 2007

by Jenny Nimmo; Read by Simon Russell Beale

Summary

Charlie Bone is an ordinary boy until he became endowed. People who are endowed are descended from the Red King, a king full of magic, and had ten children. So when Charlie was discovered endowed, he was sent to Bloors Academy, which, in my opinion is miserable. As Charlie heads off to Bloors, he senses a mystery waiting for him. A mystery that involved a young girl who was hypnotized for 10 years, and an aunt that that had been looking for her ever since. How does Charlie solve the mystery? That's what you have to find out.

From the publisher

What's happening to Charlie Bone?
Charlie doesn't want to believe it when he discovers that he can hear the thoughts of people in photographs. But his horrible aunts are delighted - it means that he is one of the chosen and must attend the Bloor's Academy for gifted children. Once there, Charlie realizes that some of his classmates have equally mysterious powers, and soon Charlie is involved in uncovering the mysterious past of one of them. Book One in The Children of the Red King series!
