Nashville, Broadman Press, 1976, hardcover, 192 pp, First Edition, Signed and inscribed by the Author, Very Good in Fair dustjacket. Straight, tight and clean, slight spine-end and edge wear. Signed and inscribed twice by the author, once on the front endpaper, dated 1983 and accompanied by the signee's address label, and again on the title page dated 2007. Bright, pictorial dustjacket shows rubs, edge nicks, numerous tape repairs mainly to the inside, in new Brodart sleeve. The son of a high-ranking SS officer in the German army and member of the Hitler Youth as a boy Vogel tells the story of his early life, his wartime experiences, and his eventual embrace of his calling to the Christian ministry from 1948 until the date of publication.
