New York, 1932. One-page typed letter on "Executive Mansion" stationary signed by FDR in black ink. Letter thanks Mr. Straus for his service and friendship and mentions "the serious problems that lie ahead." Condition is Very Good- with light age toning, light creasing, and minor wear along folds (including small closed tear along right edge).CL Consignment. Shelved in Levy-Straus Autograph binder. Jesse Isidor Straus (June 25, 1872 - October 4, 1936) served as the American ambassador to France from 1933 to 1936.
