A paperback issue of the first edition.A scarce work.'The Talking Image or Urur' is set in a Utopian city in Africa named Kakodumbala, which have a parody of theosophy. The author, Franz Hartmann, was a high ranking member of theosophy, though he fell out with Madame Blavatsky, to whom this work is dedicated.Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, worn. Lacking most of the backstrip. Front wrap is held by one cord only. Wraps are a little age-toned with some spots and handling marks. Light edge wear to the wraps. A few small tide marks to the front wrap. Internally, binding is strained in places. Pages are bright and clean. Good Only
